Community Input Sought On Annual Business Plan and Budget 2016-17

The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) has commenced consultation on its draft Annual Business Plan and Budget for 2016-17 and is seeking input from those with an interest in the outback.    

Supporting the OCA’s 2015-20 Strategic Management Plan’s 3 objectives, the Annual Business Plan and Budget will focus on key issues for 2016-2017.

OCA Chair, Ms Cecilia Woolford said “The business plan is intrinsically linked to the Strategic Management Plan.  Last year’s business plan was mostly about aligning our planning with the then new Strategic Management Plan.  It’s now time to set specific priorities for 2016-17 and put those plans into action”.   

“I expect Alinta’s departure from Leigh Creek will have an impact on the north eastern area of the outback.  The Authority is mindful of the likely impact and has made every effort to address the situation impact in the Plan.  Specific feedback from those communities affected by Alinta’s decision is especially welcomed.  

I again encourage anyone that has an interest in outback SA to have a say on how our thinking might be improved before we take it to the Minister for approval” Ms Woolford said. 

A copy of the Annual Business Plan and Budget has been posted on the OCA’s website together with a feedback form.  Hard copies and feedback forms are also available on request to the OCA;
