  • OCA Reports on the State of the Outback

    The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) has today published its inaugural State of the Outback Report. The State of the Outback Report, produced annually, highlights key statistical data and its trends over time.

    The presiding member of the OCA, Ms Cecilia Woolford, said The State of the Outback Report delivers on one of the key objectives of the OCA’s Strategic Management Plan 2015-20.

  • Small Sports Grants

    The OCA has released the second round of funding for 2018-19 Small Sports Grants.

    Outback community sport and recreation organisations are encouraged to apply for the grant to assist with projects and initiatives that promote participation in local sporting activities.

    Drought Support is now available through the South Australia's Family and Business (FaB) Support Program.

  • Small Sports Grants

    The OCA announced today that 8 communities have received funding through the OCA Small Sports Grants program.

    These grants will assist with projects and initiatives that will encourage communities to participate in local sport and recreational activities.

  • STARCLUB

    The OCA is partnering with the South Australian Office for Recreation and Sport on a new initiative, the STARCLUB Development Program.

    This program aims to support sporting clubs and entities with governance and successful management strategies. STARCLUB will provide benefits to your club including improved opportunities for grants, sponsorship and governance as well as making sure all legislative requirements are covered.

  • Dog Registrations Due

    Remember that Dog Registrations are due by 31 August 2018.

    Pet owners can now register themselves using the new Dogs and Cats Online website which was launched by the Dog and Cat Management Board on 1 July 2018.

  • OCA Commissions Outback Water Stations

    Two new solar powered remote area water treatment plants have been installed and are operational in Marla and Oodnadatta. These Outback Water Stations provide clean and safe drinking water for the local community and the travelling public.

  • Improving Safety for the Livestock Industry Report Released

    Today the Chair of the Outback Communities Authority (OCA), Cecilia Woolford, in partnership with the Chair of Regional Development Australia Far North (RDA Far North) jointly launched the Multispecies Livestock Transhipping Hub: Improving safety, efficiency and profitability in the Australian Livestock Industry report.

    The Report's scope looked at the potential establishment of a multispecies transhipping hub in Port Augusta and specifically addressed:
