  • Business Plan and Budget 2020-21

    Community Input Sought On Strategic Direction for the Outback The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) has commenced consultation on its draft Business Plan and Budget for 2020-21 and is seeking input from those with an interest in the outback.

    The annual Business Plan and Budget focuses on key issues for 2020-21. Being fundamentally linked to the Strategic Management Plan 2020-25 the Business Plan and Budget sets the Authority’s priorities for 2020-21. The OCA encourages anyone that has an interest in Outback SA to have a say on how the Business Plan and Budget might be improved.

  • Sports Grants 2019-20

    The OCA has released the second round of funding for the 2019-20 Sports Grants.

    Progress Associations and community sport and recreation organisations located in the Outback are encouraged to apply for the grant to assist with projects and initiatives that promote participation in local sporting activities.

    Funding will be prioritised to those clubs and organisations who are registered with Starclub and making progress towards completing the program.

  • $21m Drought Support Program

    The Hon Steven Marshall MP Premier and The Hon Tim Whetstone MP Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development on 10 December 2019 released details for a further $21m support package for drought-affected SA farmers.  Click here for more information.

  • Read All About It!

    The Office for the Outback Communities Authority are gearing up for the second edition of the new oneOutback newspaper. The next edition will be available in March, capturing stories from Outback Communities along with an update from the OCA and STARCLUB.

  • Sports Grants Announced

    Grant recipients from Round 1 of the 2019-20 OCA Small Sports Grants have been announced.  Recipients include the Copley, Oodnadatta and Marree and District Progress Associations.

    The OCA are pleased to assist with a new local initiative, encouraging the youth of Marree to come along and try the Beginners Boxing Program.

  • New Presiding Member and Members Appointed

    As the first meeting of the new iteration of the Outback Communities Authority approaches, we welcome Mr William McIntosh AM as Presiding Member and new Members Mrs Frances Frahn and Mr Lee Warmington.

  • Headspace Port Augusta Support Youth In Far North Communities

    Headspace Port Augusta will be supporting young people in Outback SA with an Engagement & Intake Worker. The communities of Hawker, Leigh Creek, Marree and Oodnadatta will have access to this free service.
