Beltana Community seeking Expressions of Interest for Racecourse operator

The Beltana Community is seeking Expressions of Interest for a racecourse operator.

Beltana is a State Heritage listed town located 530 kilometres north of Adelaide in the heart of the Flinders Ranges. The Beltana Racecourse is located on the main highway, 12 kilometres from the town, and is an asset of the Beltana Progress Association.

The racecourse is an 84 hectare, fenced site which has facilities to hold races, field days and other events. We are seeking Expressions of Interest from interested persons or organisations to work in partnership with the Association to maintain and develop the site with a view to developing an income stream to further the work of the Association in the Beltana Township.

The Association is seeking innovative ideas from a company, not for profit organisation or private individuals to establish a partnership to utilise the site productively. It is envisaged the proposal will include further developing the Racecourse site and being responsible for the management, maintenance, cleaning, repair and upkeep of the facilities. The facilities include toilets, showers, a bore and various buildings, as well as race meeting/event infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity for highly motivated people to work with the Association to develop the facilities and create iconic events. The assessment process will be made entirely on what is best to further the objectives of the Association.

The Association reserves the right to negotiate with interested parties following this process and to not proceed any further with the process should that be the decision of the Association. Should proponents wish to visit the site in July, please contact the Association.
