Draft Dog and Cat Management Plan Available for Consultation

The Dog and Cat Management Act 1995 requires that the Outback Communities Authority has a Dog and Cat Management Plan. A draft Plan has been developed in line with the legislation, it is available for download here.

The overarching intention of the Plan is to encourage responsible dog and cat ownership in communities and across Outback SA.

Community members are encouraged to read the plan and provide feedback. Consultation is open until close of business on Wednesday, 11 September. Feedback can be provided to the Office of the Outback Communities Authority via email oca@sa.gov.au

After a one month consultation period the Board will consider any feedback and submit the final plan to the Dog and Cat Management Board for its endorsement, at which point the Plan will become ‘active’.
